For the second year in a row, Home Loan Experts has been named a finalist for ‘Brokerage of the Year (more than 20 staff)’ in the Australian Mortgage Awards (AMAs).
Recognition in this highly-coveted award category is further proof of the professionalism of our team of highly-experienced mortgage brokers.

Why 2018 has been both an amazing and challenging year
This most recent of nods from the AMAs (run by Mortgage Professional Australia) comes off the back of our win in the ‘Social and Community Service Program of the Year’ category in the 2018 Australian Broking Awards (ABAs).
We were also named a finalist in ‘Customer Service of the Year – Office (more than 5 brokers) and three other categories.
This is despite of a lot of changes affecting the home loan industry, including:
- The ongoing Royal Commission into the banking sector.
- Tougher lending policies when it comes to living expenses.
- Stricter investment and interest only loan lending policies.
- And, most recently, major banks moving to increase their variable rates.
On a daily basis, we see how Australians are continuing to be let down by banks that don’t take a common sense approach and, as a result, miss out on buying their dream property and achieving their long-term financial goals.
For current homeowners, the major banks have already signalled that the “honeymoon is over” when it comes to Australia’s record low interest environment but most borrowers take a “set and forget” approach to their mortgage.
Most banks simply don’t reward loyalty and will play games with your rate when they get the chance and you can almost guarantee they won’t contact you.
That’s why we’ve been proactive in contacting customers who have had their loan for more than two years and offering them better deals from other lenders. Yes, great deals are still out there!
