Suraj Ranjitkar is a Mortgage Broker at Home Loan Experts with more than five years of experience across mortgages, lending and finance.

His approach is simple: listen first, understand what the customer is trying to achieve, then work through the lending options clearly and directly.

Having worked behind the scenes assessing and processing home loans before becoming a broker, Suraj understands how much difference the right lending strategy can make to a customer’s property journey. He particularly enjoys working through situations where a customer has previously been told no and finding out whether there is another way forward.

Suraj’s Background

Suraj’s career in lending began when he was given an opportunity to work as a loan officer. He took the opportunity, developed an interest in mortgage lending, and continued to build his knowledge of how different lending scenarios are assessed.

Before joining Home Loan Experts, Suraj worked as a Loan Processing Officer. He has now been with Home Loan Experts for four years and worked as a Credit Analyst before becoming a Mortgage Broker. Altogether, he brings seven years of mortgage, lending and finance experience to his role.

That credit and processing background has shaped the way Suraj approaches customers today. Rather than starting with a lender or product, he starts by understanding the customer’s circumstances and objectives.

His style is simple and direct. He listens before he speaks, communicates proactively and enjoys working through challenging applications, particularly when the customer has previously struggled to find a solution.

For Suraj, mortgage broking is ultimately about the impact a lending decision can have on someone’s broader property journey; whether they are buying their first home, refinancing an existing loan or trying to make a more complicated application work.
