Best Training and Education; Best Office - Non-Franchise

Home Loan Experts is proud to announce that it has been named as an official finalist in both the ‘Best Training and Education’ and ‘Best Office – Non-Franchise’ categories in the Australian Broking Awards (ABAs) 2014. We find out if we’re winners on the awards night on 15 August 2014!

Best Training and Education

The ‘Best Training and Education’ category recognises businesses that are providing its mortgage brokers with the most effective and diverse training programs relevant to the important role that a broker plays.

Although our brokers have worked in the credit departments of the major banks, they are still run through a rigorous training program. It covers areas such as the credit requirements set out under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act (NCCP) and lender training, so that our brokers know immediately which lenders can help you. We also run a training course that covers all loan types and scenarios so we can provide the most accurate answers to you as our client.

We also offer external training opportunities to our mortgage brokers and require all of our staff to complete a skills audit six months after starting their employment with us and every 12 months after that. In this way, we ensure that our brokers’ skills are always ready to handle your case with professionalism and a keen understanding.

Best Office – Non-Franchise

The ‘Best Office – Non-Franchise’ award acknowledges the individual offices that have most effectively driven business growth over the past 12 months across all product sectors. This award is based on such business metrics as loan volumes, book size and growth, broker effectiveness and support mechanisms.

What set us apart from the other entrants is that while most other mortgage brokers are salesmen, our brokers are highly trained experts, most of whom previously worked in the credit department of major banks as the person actually approving and declining applications! Because of this, they have inside knowledge of how the banks work and how best to present an application to get it approved.

On top of that, we have strong relationships with our panel of over 30 lenders which means you get the best deal for your situation.

Apart from our training program, we have extensive procedures and systems in place including a high support staff team to broker ratio that ensures errors are significantly lower than the rest of the industry and turn around times are much faster.

In addition, the members of our support team are specialists themselves. What this means for you as the client is that you receive the same high level of customer service first time, every time.

What are the ABAs?

Started in 2011, the ABAs are an initiative of leading finance and industry magazine The Adviser and recognise excellence across the mortgage and finance broking industry.

“The Australian Broking Awards highlights what it means to be successful within the industry and recognises those brokers and brokerages that have gone above and beyond over the past year,” The Adviser publisher Jim Hall said.

“As the industry continues to evolve, the finalists of the Australian Broking Awards are at the forefront, providing a benchmark for others to strive towards.”

In the past month, another five expert brokers have joined the Home Loan Experts team and we have also grown our administration staff from 26 to 33 over the same period.

What this means for you as a client is that as our business continues to grow, our high level of customer service will remain at the forefront of our business acumen.
