Hi, I'm currently living in australia on the subclass 457 visa, is there anyone out there who has got a mortgage on this type of visa? Could you point me in the right direction?
Also, is it true that I have to get FIRB approval to buy property?
Thanks.

Re: Can I get a mortgage on a work visa???
Hi Albee,
Yes you can still get approval for a mortgage while on a 457 work visa. Generally ou can borrow up to 80% of the property value and in some cases 90%. You shouldn't need FIRB approval in your situation if it is a home for you to live in. Please refer to our work visa mortgage page for more information.
