Re: What will be the cashflow from my property investment?
As I said earlier, I have saved $110,000 for the deposit on my investment property worth $650,000. I have not given a thought to the ‘associated purchase costs’. What are these and how much can I expect to pay for these?

Re: What will be the cashflow from my property investment?
Hi Otto,
Could you tell me more about the main costs of holding a property? Does the calculator that you linked to take all of these into account while calculating the cashflow?

What will be the cashflow from my property investment?
Hi forum,
I am planning on buying an investment property. The house costs $650,000 and I have around $110,000 for the deposit. This will be my first investment on a property. I am unsure about whether the investment would be a wise one.
I work for a university in Perth and have an annual income of $63,000. Could anyone give me an idea on what might affect my gains or losses over time?

Re: Is it possible for self-employed to get a home loan?
Hey there, I too am self-employed but I have only been running my business for a year or so. I am thinking of applying for a low doc loan since I don’t have enough evidence to prove my income. In such case, what sort of documents would I need to show to the bank to have my loan approved?

Re: Should I pay off my debt or save?
Oh okay, I didn’t know that. In that case, I’ll talk to my parents and see what can be done to get a guarantee on my loan. Thanks Otto for your help. Bye!

Re: Should I pay off my debt or save?
Hi Otto, I am also thinking of buying a house and I don’t have a lot of savings to apply for a standard home loan. So I am thinking of applying for a guarantor loan that you have mentioned in the previous reply. I wanted to ask you if it’s only the parents who are allowed to act as guarantor for the loan or can I get someone else to guarantee for my loan. the thing is – my parents already have a home loan.

Re: Is there another way to prove my income besides payslips
I’m sure getting the employment letter will not be that difficult. If I do provide the alternative form of income evidence, how much will I be able to borrow?

Is there another way to prove my income besides payslips?
Hello!
I want to buy a house worth $620,000 and need a home loan to make it happen. My friends were telling me that banks ask for payslips as a proof of income. I work for my family and don't receive payslips. Although I do have a legitimate income, I don’t know how I can get a loan without payslips.
Why are payslips so important? Isn’t there another way I can prove my income?

Re: Can engineers receive home loan discounts?
This is a bit of a worry as I do not earn over $150k. I guess it’s best if I speak to guys directly about this. Given this situation, I just hope it is still possible to get the LMI waived off. Anyway, speak to you soon and thanks for providing the answers.

Re: Can engineers receive home loan discounts?
Okay, are there specific requirements that I must fulfill to ensure that I do get an interest rate discount or have the LMI waived on my home loan?

Can engineers receive home loan discounts?
Hi broker, I am a mining engineer and I am planning to buy a house worth $550,000. I need to apply for a home loan to complete the purchase and I had heard that like other professionals, engineers are also eligible for discounts on home loans. Is this true? If so, what sort of discounts do banks normally provide on the loan?

Will need to check which system is used for the payslip. But other than that, I think I have most of these documents. Thanks for your help. I will call you in a couple of days to talk about my loan application.

Well, I think I have all the documents but just to be sure, can you tell what documents in particular are required by the banks?
