Re: Has the policy changed for investment property loans?

Honestly, it’s a bit scary to think that I might even get sued because of the policy changes. Anyway, I’ve got to try my best not to get all caught up in this. I’ll definitely call you by the end of the day tomorrow to further discuss my situation.

Re: Has the policy changed for investment property loans?

This is bad news no matter how I look at it. If these changes have been made, then I don’t think I’ll be able to afford the new property that I was planning to buy.

Do you think that I can still get approval on my loan?

Has the policy changed for investment property loans?

Hi,

I purchased an investment property at the beginning of the previous year and it’s been profitable thus far. So I purchased another investment property off the plan a few months back.

I needed a loan for it so before purchasing, I’d spoken to my accountant. He’d agreed that I could afford to put down enough deposit for the property. He’d also said that I’ve got enough income to make the repayments regularly.

Anyway, a few days back, I heard from a colleague that there have been massive changes in the lending policy for investment loans. And because my accountant is on a vacation and out of touch, I had no idea where to turn to find reliable information.

Luckily, a friend of mine recommended this forum to me, so here I am. Can anyone help me understand the kind of changes that have been made?

Re: How do lenders assess lease income for lease doc loan?

That sounds reasonable I guess. But what if I can’t qualify for the loan for any reason? What other type of loan can I consider just in case?
Also, I can’t provide all of my financials because of my employment.

How do lenders assess lease income for lease doc loan?

Hi, I’m a self-employed videographer currently living in a rented apartment in Delaware. On a good year, I can earn up to $60,000 (which is what I’ve been earning for the past two years). I was thinking of investing in a commercial property for my business so I want to take out a mortgage.

A friend suggested me to take out a lease doc loan. While looking into it, I found out that I may be able to qualify for it only if my lease income can cover the interest on the loan. I have no idea how the banks will calculate this. Is there anyone who can explain it to me?

Re: Can I use a property I own for a new home loan?

Hi!

I wanted to buy a new apartment by using my old house (I don’t have a deposit) but my bank said I do not have enough equity. What does that mean?

Re: Can a foreigner buy a property in Australia?

That sounds wonderful! I would appreciate the help. But how do I apply for the loan? Can you explain to me how the loan application process works for foreigners?

Regards.

Can a foreigner buy a property in Australia?

Hi,

I’m from India and I recently learned about foreign property investment in Australia. As a businessman, I’d love the opportunity to buy a property in Australia. However, since I’m new to the Australian mortgage industry, I have limited knowledge to rely on.

Is it possible for foreigners to borrow money to buy property in Australia? And if I can then how much will I be able to borrow?

Thank you for the explanation. It seems the issues behind genuine savings policy are complex. I will call you and talk to you in person to discuss my situation.

Thank you for the reply, Otto. However, I do not have any genuine savings. Can I still qualify for a high LVR home loan?

How much can a non-Australian borrow for a property?

Hi home loan experts!

I am a commercial diver in Sydney and have an annual income of $77,000. I am in Australia on a work visa and I would like to live in Sydney for the foreseeable future. I am currently renting and I want to buy a house of my own. There is a nice two bedroom boutique apartment on Pitt Street that I really like to buy. The place has an asking price of $840,000 and I would like to borrow as much as possible for that.

However, I am not sure how much banks may be willing to lend to me since I am not an Australian. I would be grateful if someone could give me an idea about that.
