Re: Why is my bank asking me to pay LMI?
Hi everyone,
I need to borrow more than 90% for a house and I have no idea on the size of the LMI premium that I will have to pay. Can anyone give me an idea about that?

Re: Are there special home loan provisions for lawyers?
Hi there,
I am a lawyer practising in Melbourne. I was also thinking about purchasing a property worth about a million dollars, and I can put around $100,000 as a deposit on the home loan. Unfortunately, my income is less than $150,000 and paying $24,000 for LMI seems a tad too expensive to me. Are there any ways that I can avoid paying the LMI premium?

Re: Using SMSF to buy property
Hi!
I am also thinking about using my superannuation to buy a commercial property. However, I have heard that there are strict rules that apply to SMSF loans. Could anyone briefly tell me about those rules?

Hi Otto,
Your services look very promising. I’d really like to speak with one of your brokers about the loan. I’m going to meet the owner of the hotel I’m looking to buy on Thursday. I’ll give you a call next week to further discuss the loan application process. Gratitudes for your help. Have a great day

Re: How do banks assess applications for hotel loans?
Hey Otto,
Thank you so much for the swift reply. I talked to my friend, who had recommended this forum the other day, and I came to know that you guys can also help out apart from the forums. Maybe I can consider hiring your services if I know exactly how you guys can help me.
Also, can you please let me know how long it will take to reach settlement on the hotel?

How do banks assess applications for hotel loans?
Hello Home Loan Forum,
I’m from Longreach and I’m looking to purchase a small hotel here. The property is worth $570,000 and I need to take out a ‘hotel loan’ to be able to afford it.
My concern is my lack of understanding of how the bank will assess my loan application. One of my friends who bought a house this past year recommended me to make use of this forum. So can anyone in this forum please clear this up for me?

Re: Can an international student get a home loan in Australi
Hi there,
I am an international student and I married an Australian citizen ten months back. I want to buy a home worth about $670,000. I have about $110,000 available to me that I can place as a deposit on my home loan.
Will it be easier for me to get a home loan since I am married to an Australian? Are there any special provisions that I should be aware of?

Ah, I see. I looked through your website and learnt even more, thanks. I may call your office anytime within the end of this week. I want to discuss my personal situation as well as my loan needs with you. Until then, goodbye.

Re: How much can I borrow on a duplex home loan?
Hello everyone.
I have lived way too long in an apartment, constantly paying rent. I want to buy my own place and have already found a suitable property. It is a mixed use property, and I want to know how much I will be able to borrow to finance its purchase. Can anyone help me with this?

Hello brokers, I too am an accountant and I also need to borrow money to buy a house worth $520,000. Could you tell me how much interest rate discount would I normally be able to receive from the banks?
