Re: Can a foreigner buy a property in Australia?
Hi there,
I am from the USA and work in Australia as a regional sales manager. I hold a 457 visa and am looking to buy a home in Sydney. Do I need to get an approval from the government to buy the house?

Re: Can I take out a home loan without any deposit?
Hi,
I also want to get a home loan without any deposit. After looking for some information, I feel that getting a guarantor loan from my parents will be the best option for me. But there is a problem – the property of my parents is mortgaged in itself. Can we get a guarantor loan in this kind of situation?

Re: Using rental history as genuine savings
It seems like the chances of approval increases by applying with the right lender and I think you guys would be the right people to help me choose one. So expect a call from me in the few days to discuss about this. And thanks for your answer!

Re: Using rental history as genuine savings
Hi there, I am in the process of purchasing a house in Darwin and I need a loan to complete this process. I was wondering if I could use the $25,000 gifted by my parents as a deposit on the house. Will this be considered as a genuine savings by the lenders or will I need to show money from other source in my account to qualify for a home loan?

Re: What are the types of "bad credit" that I may have?
Hello!
A friend of mine told me that I may be able to remove certain bad credit records from my credit file. If this is true then it’ll make it so much easier for me to take out a home loan. Can anyone tell me whether this is true or not?

Re: Can we get a home loan after bankruptcy?
So we would need $86,000 for the loan and we will likely pay interest at 7.65%. Maybe if we can to get another 14,000 then we'd have the 20% to go with a major bank anyway. Wouldn’t that enable us to get a much lower interest rate?

Re: Can we get a home loan after bankruptcy?
We are looking to purchase a property in the range of $500,000 - $550,000. We would have about $60 - $70K by the time my wife’s bankruptcy finishes in May. We're both permanent full time teachers.

Can we get a home loan after bankruptcy?
Hi home loan experts!
My wife and I had to become insolvent primarily as a result of illness on my part. We could also not be able to get a tenant for our home at the same time, and there were multiple factors in play. Her bankruptcy finishes next May while I am already discharged from bankruptcy. So I was wondering if lenders exist that we can borrow from. Could someone give us any idea if we would be able to apply for a home loan?

Re: Can I get a 100% home loan without any deposit?
Hi guys.
It has been over two years since I took a guarantor home loan. Everything had been going according to plan until my parents faced a financial crisis a few months back. I want to remove the guarantee on my home loan to relieve a bit of their stress. Am I allowed to do this?

Re: I am still on probation and need a home loan.
Hi there!
I have a new job and am on probation for the next two months. Do banks limit the options available for people like us? I have heard that we have to pay a higher rate of interest and may not be offered the features offered to borrowers on permanent employment.
