Re: How can I get a home loan without genuine savings?
Hi everyone,
I also need to take out a no genuine savings loan. Unfortunately, the option of getting a guarantor loan is not open to me. I guess I will just have to pay the LMI. Can I get an idea of the amount that I may need to pay for LMI?

Well, this loan sounds interesting. Not sure if my parents will agree to guarantee the loan though!

Re: How much LMI would dentists need to pay to borrow 90%?
Hi brokers, I too am a dentist and I am planning to buy a house in a few months. But I would need to borrow higher than 90%, possibly 100% of the property price since I don’t even have enough savings. Could you tell me if it would be possible for me to borrow the full amount?

Re: Need a home loan before going on maternity leave
It’s disappointing that I can only borrow up to 80% of the property value while applying for a loan on maternity leave. Fortunately, I think I can manage to raise the remaining 20% on my own. Oh by the way, what documents will I need to show to the bank?

Re: How much can I borrow to buy a vacant land?
I want to build a farm on the piece of land but I am not seeking to make a profit out of it. I want to use it as a second home for weekends and other holidays. I am confused about the distinction between a commercial farm and a hobby farm. What is the difference between the two?

Need a home loan before going on maternity leave
Hi, I am planning to buy a house worth $500,000 and I need to borrow around $450,000 to complete the purchase. I am a senior consultant at a marketing agency and I make about $65,000 a year. I will be going on a maternity leave soon. I am expecting my first child in about five months. Will this affect my chances of being approved for a home loan?

How much can I borrow to buy a vacant land?
Hi there,
I want to invest in a piece of vacant land worth $400,000. I will have to take out a loan for this.
I have a six figure income and have been paying mortgage for my house regularly. It was a ‘Principal plus Interest’ loan and I have 3 more years left on the loan term. When I had taken out this loan, I was able to borrow 95% of the property value.
Will I be able to borrow the same percentage of the property value the vacant land? Or do banks have different criteria to approve a loan for such type of property?

Re: Possible to get a home loan while on maternity leave?
Hi, I too was on maternity leave recently for eight months. You mentioned that we are able to borrow up to 80% and even 90% in some cases. Well I was hoping to borrow more than that, possibly 100%.
Is this possible at all??
