Hi home loan forum,
I am also an international student in Australia. This has been an informative thread to me. I think getting my parents to buy a property in Australia is a good option for me. However, I am unsure if my parents can provide evidence of their income to an Australian bank.
Could someone tell me what evidence is required by banks for a foreigner looking to invest in an Australian property?

Re: Can a foreigner buy a property in Australia?
Hi!
I’m from the Philippines and I’m very interested in buying a real estate in Australia. I have a house worth $340,000 here in the Philippines itself. I’ve learned that I need FIRB approval but I don’t have a clue about what an FIRB approval is and why I need it!
Can someone please explain its purpose to me?

Re: Why is getting a home loan difficult for internet market
Although I’ve already applied for a home loan, I still got to learn a whole lot more through your website. It seems I probably would’ve had an easier time applying for the loan if I’d taken your help earlier. I’ve suggested my friends to go through your website and call you if they want any information or help regarding home loans. Thanks, Otto.

Re: Why is getting a home loan difficult for internet market
Hello forum!
I’ve already applied for a home loan and am awaiting approval. I’m pretty sure that my loan application will get approved but doubts regarding my genuine savings are creeping up. I know that I haven’t included contributions from any of the sources mentioned above but I don’t know how they will analyse my savings.
How do banks assess genuine savings?

Re: Can I get a mortgage as a part time worker?
Hi Otto,
Thanks for the reply. It seems that I will not be able to borrow as much as I want due to the complex policies of banks. I will just start working full time now. My employers have, as a matter of fact, offered me to work full time recently. I hope that will enable me to borrow more.

Can I get a mortgage as a part time worker?
Hi there,
I work part time for a publishing company and have an annual income of about $28,000 from the job. I was thinking about getting a mortgage, but I have heard that banks give a hard time to part time workers. Is that really true? I would be grateful if anyone could provide some insight into the matter.

Re: How much can I borrow for a commercial property?
The property that I want to purchase is a bit under $1 million so that means I should be able to borrow at least 80%. That’s good enough for me, but I heard that the banks may also take my loan purpose into consideration when assessing my loan application. What does that mean?

How much can I borrow for a commercial property?
Good morning everyone.
I want to buy a commercial property but I won’t be able to do so with my money alone. I want to take out a mortgage to help finance the purchase of the property. My friends suggested me to learn about this in this forum so here I am. How much might I be able to borrow for a commercial property?

Re: Regarding taking out a 95% loan
I don’t think we’ll have much of a problem meeting those requirements. Can you tell me if there are any offers up for grabs in this type of loan?

Regarding taking out a 95% loan
Hi,
I’ve been working in a firm for more than three years as a Client Service Manager. My annual income is $72,000. My girlfriend wants us to stop renting but instead buy a place all for ourselves. Including her income, we earn around $100,000 in a year. We’ve found a great apartment in South Hedland but we can’t afford the place without taking out a mortgage. I was thinking of getting a 95% home loan. Can anyone tell me what lenders look for in borrowers who want to take out such a loan?

Wow, guarantor loan does seem to have a lot of benefits! By the way, what exactly are genuine savings?
