Re: Can I get a home loan if I’m living in Japan?

Thanks for the info, mate! I’m so glad that I found this forum. I’m currently looking at a property and being in Japan makes it a tad more difficult to know a good house from a bad one.

Anyway, I’m definitely going to give you a call after I’ve made a final decision on which property I want to buy. Cheers!

Re: Can I get a home loan if I’m living in Japan?

It’s really good to know that I can borrow up to 95%. I’ve got one more question. What kind of documents do I need to submit for the home loan application?

Can I get a home loan if I’m living in Japan?

Hello there,

I’m an Australian and I manage a branch of an Australian company in Japan. I’ve been living here in Japan for the last 4 years now.

I make almost $80,000 annually and now I’ve saved enough to buy a house back home. I’m not sure if I can get a home loan though.

Can anyone help me with this?

Re: Is it possible to get a discount on an interest only loa

That’s such a useful calculator. I just finished using it and it's already helped me manage my budget a bit. Thanks for this. I definitely want the discount on my interest only loan! I’ll give you a call tomorrow afternoon to discuss more.

Re: Is it possible to get a discount on an interest only loa

Thanks for the info, mate. I have one more question. I know I have to pay more once my interest only period ends, but is there any way to know exactly how much I have to pay so that I can start managing my money likewise?

Is it possible to get a discount on an interest only loan?

Hello home loan experts,

I’m planning to take out a loan with National Australia Bank (NAB). My budget can be a little tight because most of my savings will be used during the purchase so I’m planning to take out an interest-only loan.

I hadn’t noticed the difference but one of my friends pointed out that the standard home loan has lower interest rates than the interest only loan and that I can save a fortune if I go for a P&I loan.

The same friend also suggested that banks may be offering discounts that we may not know about. He was the one who recommended this forum as well.

Can anyone here help me out?

Re: Can I get a home loan with a 5% deposit?

Thanks for clearing that up mate. Now we’ll plan for the extra costs of buying a property besides the 5% deposit.

I’ll give you a call when we have saved up enough for the deposit as well as the extra costs. It should take us a little bit more than two months. Talk to you then. Cheers!

Re: Can I get a home loan with a 5% deposit?

Thanks for explaining this mate. It makes sense that I need to be in a good position if I’m to qualify for a 5% deposit home loan.

However, is a 5% deposit enough to buy a property?

Can I get a home loan with a 5% deposit?

Good afternoon experts,

I got married recently and me and my wife have decided that we need to move out of the apartment we currently rent, and get our own place.

Our combined annual salary is about $140,000, but we don’t have much in our savings right now because we spent most of our money on our wedding.

I’ve heard that we can get a loan with a 5% deposit. How much of this is true?

Wow, that property investor centre of yours is extremely helpful. I’ve already recommended you guys and your website to my friends and colleagues. I’m not at all surprised to find that many of them already knew about you guys. I’ll continue checking out the website for now. Don’t know when exactly but I plan on calling you guys soon. Bye.

Re: Why can’t I find 90% investment loans anymore?

Oh… okay. I’m pretty sure I can meet those requirements. The only problem right now is that 5% deposit, but I know that I can have it collected by the end of July. Until then, what else can I do to prepare myself, specifically, to help increase my borrowing power?

Why can’t I find 90% investment loans anymore?

Hello home loan forum,

A year ago, I’d been wrestling with the thoughts of getting an investment loan and investing in this sweet property that I found. I didn’t have the money back then but now when things are looking up for me, I can’t find 90% investment loans anywhere!

I’m really stumped by why this is so. I haven’t been researching the market right now so I haven’t a clue. Can I still get a 90% investment loan somehow?

That is a lot of expense that I hadn’t thought of. Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll make sure I have enough savings before I apply for the loan.

Re: How can I calculate my borrowing power?

Hi there,

I used the calculator mentioned in this post and found that I can borrow $360,000. And coincidentally, I am looking to borrow $355,000 for a house valued at $510,000. I was very happy but my wife told me that we may still not be able to afford the house because there may be other costs associated with purchasing a property. What type of extra expenses will we have to bear if we decide to purchase the house?
