Re: Can I get a mortgage that complies with sharia law?
My friend is a Muslim and reading your posts here, I guess she’ll be able to get a home loan. I wanted to know more about this; is there anything else that she needs to know before she starts searching for a lender?

Re: Got bad credit on my credit file
Oh, I get why they rejected my loan. Thank you for explaining it so clearly, mate. I had a default of about $4,000 but since I’ve paid it off, I hope I can ask the lender to remove it from my credit file.
Even if they don’t agree, I’m positive that you can help me qualify for a home loan. I’ll give you a call by the end of the week. Cheers!

Re: Got bad credit on my credit file
Does that still matter?
I was injured in an accident but I’ve got back my job and paid off all my defaults. Won’t the lender consider this before rejecting my loan?

Got bad credit on my credit file
Good morning experts,
I live in Tasmania. I want to buy a house and I want to move out of the place that I am currently renting. I am in bit of a pickle though.
I had an accident a year back and broke one of my backbones. I had to quit my job because the doctor advised me to rest up for six to eight months.
When I was fit to work after eight months, I couldn’t find a job right away. I also had missed a few repayments of my credit card and the car loan by this time.
Soon enough, I found a job and took care of all my repayments within a month. I applied for a loan with a bank last month. However, they rejected me saying I have bad credit on my credit file.
How long does the bad credit information stay on my credit file?

I’ve pretty much got an idea of everything now but I’d still like to learn more. I’ll browse through your website for now and will call your office in a few days. Thank you.

Re: Buying my first home, want to learn about ‘extra costs’
Hi,
I’m also buying property for the first time so this thread has been quite illuminating. Right now, I’m quite worried about my genuine savings - I do have a 5% deposit that I’m fairly sure is genuine but I have no idea how it will be analysed by the bank. Anyone know about this?

Re: Can I get a home loan with a 5% deposit?
Thanks for the info Otto. I’m certain that I can meet the requirements to qualify for a reducecd LMI premium. I’ll definitely need your help to find a good lender so I’ll give you a call within the next week.

Re: Can I get a home loan with a 5% deposit?
Hello there,
I’m planning to take out a 5% deposit loan but I’ve heard that the LMI premium can be very expensive.
Is there any way I can get waived LMI or at least a discount on the LMI premium?

Re: Home loan for a hobby farm
Thanks for making it so clear to me. The property is about 10 ha so I’m hoping it won’t be much of a problem to get a loan.
I’ll give you a call tomorrow to further discuss my situation. Cheers!

Thanks for the information but I didn’t get what you meant when you mentioned postcode restrictions. Can you please clear that up for me?

Home loan for a hobby farm
Hey there experts,
I’m looking to take out a loan on a hobby farm. I’ve always wanted to own a hobby farm but always had my home loan repayments to worry about. I finally paid off my mortgage last month.
As soon as I paid it off, I started looking for a hobby farm property. I found one last week which is valued at $500,000.
I wanted to know how much I can borrow. Please help me out!

Re: What amount can I borrow to buy a hobby farm?
I guess I’ll have to reconsider buying the house after all
I could use some help looking for new possible locations to buy. I’d really like to speak with one of your brokers and discuss what to do next. I’ll call you tomorrow to find a suitable time for a meeting.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Re: What amount can I borrow to buy a hobby farm?
Hi home loan forums,
My home loan application recently got rejected. The bank said that the property was not located in an ‘ideal’ location. I had absolutely no idea what they meant and I was a little pissed considering that the land is very productive and has good access in my opinion.
I started wondering why my application was rejected. After consulting a few friends, one of them suggested I make use of this forum. Is there a particular reason why my application may have been rejected? I’m really looking forward to a response.
