Thank you for the information. I am not married to an Australian, therefore I will need to talk to you about the other options.

Re: How much can I borrow for a house if I live in Australia
Hi there,
I am on a 457 visa and I want to take out a home loan too. I want to borrow as much as I can for the purchase. Could anyone tell me the ways through which I can borrow more than 80% of the property value?

Re: What is positive credit reporting?
Hi everyone,
I have heard that the amount that I can actually borrow depends largely on my credit score. Why is it so? Are there any ways to improve my credit score?

Re: Will banks consider my bonus income?
I think that the lenders require me to submit some documents as evidence of my income. Could you tell me what kind of documents will I require?

Will banks consider my bonus income?
Hi there,
I am from Sydney and I want to apply for a home loan. I know that lenders ask for income records to evaluate my loan application. But I have no idea whether the banks will consider my bonus income as a part of their assessment. Could anyone here please shed some light in this matter?

Re: How much can I borrow for a commercial property?
Hello. I can’t provide my tax returns so I’m thinking of getting a low doc loan to buy a commercial property. Does anyone know anything about the documents that I may need to provide in order to get my application approved?

Re: Non resident home loan
Thank you for the clarification. As I said before, I am in Australia on a 457 VISA. But our company has been downsizing a lot recently. What will happen if I lose my job? If I have bought a house in Australia, will I be allowed to keep it even if I leave Australia?

Hello there,
I am an Australian citizen but have been working and living in the Netherlands for a long time. Do I require an FIRB approval if I want to buy a house in Australia?
Thanks in Advance.

Re: What do banks look at while agreeing to refinance a loan
Hello Otto, like anita, I am also considering to refinance a loan to get a better rate. But I have heard that it can cost even more to refinance in some cases. What kinds of charges/fees should I anticipate for?
