Re: What is LVR?
Thank you so much. The LMI calculator does give me a clearer idea of how much LMI I would have to pay. Now I also understand that it can vary according to other factors beside LVR. I will definitely call you to understand more about it now that I have decided to purchase the house I have been looking at.

Re: What is LVR?
Hey there,
I live in New South Wales and I recently found a place that is near my workplace. It is valued at $800,000. I was going through this thread and found that you were talking about LMI. I was trying to find out how much LMI I would have to pay if I borrow 90% LVR. Could anyone help me?

Re: Can I get a mortgage as a part time worker?
Hi home loan experts!
I am a part time worker, too. I want to buy a house worth $430,000 and I have around $120,000 available for the deposit. My income has increased recently and I believe I can afford the loan repayments comfortably. However, I learned from this thread that I may need an employment letter.
I am not sure what an employment letter really is. Could anyone please tell me what details are included in an employment letter?

Re: How much can a Japanese borrow for a house in Australia?
I was worried that my application would get caught in red tape. If getting the approval takes just 15 days then it may not be much of a hassle. Thanks.

Re: How much can I borrow for investment property?
Thanks for the reply, Otto.
I live in Sydney with my wife. I earn $80,000 per year while my wife brings in another $60,000 from her job. We have saved around $40,000 in our offset account. I am planning to buy a new property worth about $800,000.
I had purchased the house in Sydney four years back for $540,000 and I owe $320,000 on it now. The Adelaide apartment cost me $290,000 and I owe $100,000 on it. So how will banks view my finances? Could you also tell me more about LMI capitalisation?

How much can I borrow for investment property?
Hi everyone,
I am thinking of investing in a new home. However, I will not be able to put much amount for the deposit on my new purchase. So I would like to know how much banks will lend to me. Could someone tell me if I could borrow 95% LVR for my new investment?

Re: How do banks assess trust applications?
I have friends who are trustees of different types of trusts. They are also interested in getting a trust loan but are not sure if their applications will be approved. Can you provide me with a list of the types of trusts that are allowed to borrow money?

Oh okay, sounds like a good option. Thanks for letting me know about this type of loan. Will need to talk through this option with a few potential guarantors. I‘ll get back to you on this after a few days. Bye.

Re: Can engineers receive home loan discounts?
Hey, I graduated with an engineering degree about two and a half years and ago and I have been working in this filed ever since. Right now, I earn about $55,000 a year. I am planning on buying a property and I wanted to know what types of engineers are usually eligible for home loan discounts.
I was also wondering if banks would allow me to borrow more than 95% of the property value since I haven’t been able to save that much to buy a house.
