Mortgage Broker, Tony Simic
Tony began his banking career in 1991, in the Commonwealth Bank’s equipment finance unit (CBFC limited). His role as a relationship manager was to assist small to medium size business with all their leasing & hire purchase requirements – specializing in the earthmoving & transport industries. In 1996 he moved into the credit / risk assessment side of the business, where he liaised with brokers to assist & make recommendations to their loan proposals.
In 2003 Tony moved into the mortgage industry with St George bank’s broker mortgage services. He was a Specialist Lender, assessing self employed applicants – namely small to large business, trusts & complex mortgages (multiple entity loans).
In 2006 he became Senior Credit Manager for residential mortgages, holding a $4.0 million approval authority. In his time as Senior Credit Manager Tony had approved approximately 6,000 home loans and assessed well over $1.0 billion worth of mortgages.
He joined us at the Home Loan Experts in 2011 and brings with him an excellent understanding of complex self employed loans and loans that are outside of normal lending criteria.

“We wanted to share our experience of using the Home Loan Experts and in particular Tony Simic. We had some financial challenges recently and had a great deal of difficulty in gaining finance for our own home again. With good incomes and a good deposit we were still struggling. After the roller coaster ride of going cap in hand to the bank manager, only to be turned away, and the dealing with a crazy mortgage broker who promised the world and delivered only disappointment, we found Tony.

So now we have settled on the loan and have moved into our new house. We have put the past behind us and are ready to get on with it again. Thanks to Tony we feel like we are not the scum of the earth we had been made to feel on previous occassions with other mortgage brokers/financiers. Nothing was too much trouble and with Tony’s inside knowledge on how lenders think he was able to approach the bank with an excellent case and really put us in a great position in the lenders’ eyes.
